Motion Control & Cinebot Hire

Impossible camera movements, executed with millimeter precision

Capturing complex camera movements requires the perfect balance of technology and repeatability. Whether it involves clean product shots or a shot that must be frame-accurately synchronized with action or special effects on set, the focus remains on imagery that integrates seamlessly with the rest of the production. Our fleet ranges from the compact DOT camera robot to modular custom systems, ensuring we have the right solution for every technical challenge to control both the camera and the set with precision.

FAQ

Specifications, versatility, and technical support

Is the Cinebot always rented with an operator?

Yes, due to safety and complexity, the DOT Cinebot is exclusively rented including an experienced operator. We handle the complete technical setup, programming of the moves, and operation on set, ensuring the workflow integrates seamlessly with the rest of the crew.

What is the maximum payload and reach of the system?

Our Cinebot has a reach of 1.1 meters and a maximum payload of 10 kg. This makes the system suitable for nearly all modern cinema cameras, including professional cine lenses and lens control systems (F/I/Z).

Can the motion control system also be used on location?

Certainly. The DOT Cinebot was specifically selected for its mobility. Unlike larger systems such as the Bolt, which often rely on three-phase power and heavy transport, the DOT is compact and runs on a standard 230V connection. This allows the system to be operational on virtually any location within a short timeframe, without compromising the high-speed precision expected from professional motion control.

Do you also offer support for VFX workflows?

Absolutely. Our Motion Control setups are ideally suited for complex VFX productions. We offer full support for exporting highly accurate camera data via FBX, which is directly compatible with software such as Blender, Maya, and After Effects. For innovative productions in Unreal Engine, a real-time Live Link is also available, allowing camera movements to be synchronized instantly with the virtual world on set. Whether it involves match-moving, multi-pass shots, or virtual production: we deliver the data necessary for a seamless post-production workflow.

Is it possible to schedule a no-obligation demo?

Certainly. Motion control systems are complex, and we understand that the step toward a first booking can feel significant. That is why you are always welcome at the studio for a no-obligation demo.

During this session, we will show our systems in action, discuss the workflow, and explore the possibilities and limitations for your specific shoot. This ensures you know exactly what results to expect before the first day of filming even begins.
